Cork-Knights VFD volunteers proudly protect approximately 30,000 people living in an area of 90 square miles.

Our volunteers answer more than 1,700 calls each year using 2 Engines, (1-1500 gal pumper-tanker with ALS equipment, 1-750 gal pumper with BLS equipment), 1-3500 gal tanker, 1-1000 gal brush truck, and 1-300 gal brush truck. We were the first fire station in Hillsborough County, either career or volunteer, to be 100% compliant with all county issued training requirements.

Our station is a public department whose members are volunteers.  We hold periodic fundraisers and also depend on donations from the public.

This station is staffed by volunteers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have 3 Fulltime paramedics who work a 24/48 schedule that are paid by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, to provide ALS service faster in the rural areas.

We are glad to provide excellent service since 1971.
