Cork-Knights VFD is Station 26 of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFRD). Our volunteers proudly protect approximately 30,000 people living in an area of 90 square miles near Plant City, FL.
Our volunteers answer more than 1,700 calls each year using 2 Engines, (1-1500 gal pumper-tanker with ALS equipment, 1-750 gal pumper with BLS equipment), 1-3500 gal tanker, 1-1000 gal brush truck, and 1-300 gal brush truck.
We were the first fire station in Hillsborough County, either career or volunteer, to be 100% compliant with all county issued training requirements.
Our station is a public department whose members are volunteers. We hold periodic fundraisers and also depend on donations from the public.
This station is staffed by volunteers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We have 3 Fulltime paramedics who work a 24/48 schedule. Paramedics are paid by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) service faster in our response area.
We are proud to have provided excellent service since 1971.
What does it take to be a volunteer firefighter?
Volunteer firefighters are men and women just like you. They come from all walks of life and have a desire to give back to the community.
We provide training, equipment and other benefits.
We also have opportunities for a Graphics Designer, Special Events Volunteers and/or Board Members.
